Bring your contacts and calendar

Export them from your old provider as files, then import them in ZTD Office webmail. It takes a few minutes per mailbox.

Webmail imports contacts from vCard files (.vcf, up to 5 MB) and calendars from iCalendar files (.ics, up to 10 MB) or a calendar link. Sign in at mail.ztdoffice.com with the mailbox you’re moving into.

Contacts

1. Export them from your old provider

  • Google: open contacts.google.com, choose Export, pick vCard (for iOS Contacts) and save the file.
  • Microsoft 365 or Outlook.com: Outlook on the web exports contacts as a CSV file, which webmail can’t read. Import that CSV into Thunderbird’s address book (Tools → Import → Address Books), then right-click the address book and choose Export as vCard.
  • Other providers and phones: look for “export contacts” and choose vCard (.vcf).

2. Import them in webmail

  1. In webmail, open Settings → Contacts.
  2. Under Import Contacts, choose your .vcf file.
  3. Check the list (duplicates are marked), then choose Import.

Calendar

1. Export it from your old provider

  • Google Calendar: on a computer, open Settings → Import & export → Export. You get a zip file with one .ics file per calendar; unzip it first.
  • Classic Outlook on Windows: open the calendar, then File → Save Calendar, choose More Options, set the date range to Whole calendar and save the .ics file.
  • Outlook on the web: under Settings → Calendar → Shared calendars → Publish a calendar, publish it with all details and copy the ICS link. (Your organisation may have turned publishing off.)

2. Import it in webmail

  1. In webmail, open Calendar, then More actions (the ⋯ button in the toolbar) → Import Calendar.
  2. On the File tab, choose the .ics file. For a published link, use the URL tab and choose Fetch.
  3. Pick the calendar to import into, check the events and choose Import selected.

Importing copies the events once; it doesn’t keep in step with your old calendar. Do it once you’ve stopped adding events there.

On your phone and computer

Contacts and calendars sync to your devices once you add the account to your apps. See Connect your email apps.
